Seasonal Positions Available
Sybton Horticulture is looking for seasonal Orchard Employees to assist with our Opotiki Operations.
Sybton is now accepting applications for seasonal positions starting October 2024.
The role of the Orchard Employee is essential to the continuation of Sybton Horticulture. It is focused on completing essential tasks in the orchards as per instructions from Orchard Managers and Orchard Supervisors. It is imperative that orchard employees are able to listen to and follow instructions, as well as work independently when necessary to complete the task at hand.
Responsibilities include
- Thinning young and mature kiwi fruit plants
- Picking kiwi fruit and avocados
- Pruning
- Vine training kiwi fruit plants
- Girdling
- Other various tasks as required
About You
- Ability to listen carefully and carry out instructions fully
- Have some horticulture knowledge or be willing to learn about kiwifruit and avocados
- Be punctual and reliable
- Communicate clearly with your supervisor and manager
- Be a team player
- Have your own reliable transport
- Must be eligible to work in NZ
Important Info
Sybton offers above minimum wage
Work is weather dependent and ranges from Monday to Sunday 6am – 7pm
